Slavic Voices presents a special concert and livestream with founder and artistic director Ben Flanders and pianist Elena Kholodova. (whom Menton’s French magazine called “the brilliant Russian pianist, who impressed the audience with the beauty of the sound and amazing technique.”) Featuring music by Russian composers Rachmaninoff and Sviridov, this concert is a meditation on themes of traveling far from home with homesickness, and the universal feelings of alienation that we feel when we are transplanted from our native soil. Admission is free with a suggested donation to support Slavic Voices mission of creating bridges between cultures, raising awareness of Eastern European perspectives, and educating singers and audiences about Slavic languages and cultures. (Slavic Voices, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization, donations are tax-deductible).
Free parking is available at the 4th street garage. Enter the cathedral through the 4th street entrance and ask at the desk for a parking validation.
